Optimize – finds multitudes of sprites with members, which are visually identical,
and exchanges each multitude sprites’ members with the member with the biggest
castnumber, which is visually identical to the given multitude sprites’ members.

Example:
An animation sequence is imported in Director.
Frames 1 to 5 look visually the same, but the sprites along these frames have different castmembers.

Now we shall optimize channel 1, from the 1-st to the 10-th frame:
In ScoreCommander/Members/Optimize:
1. In the Channels text fields, for from input 1, for to input 1.
2. In the Frames text fields, for from input 1, for to input 10.
3. Check Colorize Affected Sprites.
4. Click the Optimize button.

before the optimization:

after the optimization:

In our example, members 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 are expendable and may be deleted.

If you check Clear Cast, the castmembers, which are expendable after the optimization, will be automatically deleted.
